2025 was a bumpy year for the studio and us personally, but progress was made and some lovely weaving was created for a small run of cushions and accessories. A small win was being part of Herefordshire Art week for the first time, it was a great way to open up the studio to the public and allow people to see what I do and how I do it. The weather was not kind to us, and this equalled low foot fall, however, we enjoyed it and some brave souls braved the weather to come and see us, which we are very appreciative of. It’s always nice meeting new people and welcoming them into our work spaces and just generally enjoying time with new curious humans.
Sadly in September I had to move studio space, and down sizing was necessary for a short stint, I sold my large blanket loom and a few other things got tucked away for when a larger space becomes available.
December saw a few new events, I sold my original loom to make room for a new to me loom, more details to follow on this beasty.
Our small complex of studios had our first Open Studios, (now called Lower Buckton Studios) this was very warmly received and foot fall was good. It was in conjunction with Aardvark Books and the Brampton Bryan Collective. Our small group of makers (LBS) have now decided to continue this into 2026 and open regularly once a month from March through to October, more details coming soon.
